Default disable audio out macbook pro

    Hello everyone!
ok so i just got this macbook pro about 2 weeks ago...it was given to me by a friend that broke off the headphones in the audio jack.......so i tried to get it out and managed to do so but also ripped the optical sensor out with it....my friend tried the superglue technique....so now im stuck with no sound and would prefer to just route the sound to my internal speakers....any ideas?

Unless you can solder well, I would suggest replaceing the Left i/o board. iFixit

Oh, it's newer than I thought. You'd have to replace the Logic Board ($$$). Or tear it open and see what's up. There is no software fix.

Are you sure theres no way to code it to think theres nothing in it? you can code it to tell it to not to have the startup chime and that works so i dont see why you cant tell hardware not to function....

It's hardware... No way around it. There are countless others with the same problem I've seen on Google, Not one software solution has been given.

No way around this one... hardware is the only way. If you are lucky maybe you can find replacement parts for cheap and just solder them back as greggsymington suggested.
