    Question Apple Warranty

hey guys, being the hardcore mac fans that you are, can you clear something up for me, i remember reading somewhere that if you replace your HDD or Memory that it does not void you warranty on your mac. Is this still the case??

Iv'e checked the Apple website, can't find it there

Not sure about the hard drive, but in my macbook manual it tells you how to change the memory.

Apple Warranty: Installing Memory, Expansion Cards, User Installable Parts Does Not Void Warranty

    and with:

    Apple - Support - Manuals

I'm guessing that means that it will not void your warranty. (unless you broke a part or two in the process of doing so).

Remember to keep your original parts, though, so they would not have any excuse (ie. blame the new installed parts) not to repair your problem.

(just remember to put the HDD back in before sending it in for repairs)

I'm flattered; but it's just that I know where to look.
