    Default anyone got airtunesd running?

I'm wanting to upgrade my AppleTV to a Mac mini, but I will miss the airtunes feature of AppleTV 2.x. It lets you use the AppleTV as wireless speakers.

The daemon that does it is called airtunesd. Has anyone got it running on a regular install of Mac OS X?

On the AppleTV, a LaunchAgent launches it at startup (In /System/Library/LaunchAgents/ However it doesn't work on AppleTV 1.x unless the exact mach_kernel.prelink from the 2.x image is copied over.

The 2.3.1 disk image is here if you have any ideas:

I'd really dig being able to run it on Leopard.

Well you can do the same thing with an AirPort Express.

And since you really are just streaming audio why not just use iTunes album sharing?
