i followed this guide. it worked great my iphone is pwned and everything. but i stuck my tmobile sim in and it shows no signal bars? seems to be a common problem. anyone have a solution? much appreciated
Hi, I have a 4gb 1.0.2 otb phone that does not want to go into DFU mode, after being 1.1.4 pwned, then upgraded to 2.0 by mistake.
I DO KNOW how to put an iphone into DFU mode, I have fixed several, etc. My whole family is on t-mobile and they all have iphones.
iTunes detects the phone in normal and recovery mode, but not in DFU mode, it goes to the black screen and it stays there without itunes detecting anything. The weird part is that usually when you have a working phone in DFU and you want to restart, you have to press power/home for SEVERAL seconds until it restarts.... this one doesnt, i just press power/home and it just turns back on, like if it was turning completely off instead of going into DFU.
Its the first time I heard of this, and Ive been working with iphones since the first anysim unlock, etc.

ok guys im new to using mac os. im trying to preform the 2.0 downgrade but everytime i download the firmware and unzip it it dosent do anything it just gives me more folders does anybody know how to open that kind of file if so could you please tell me because i have no clue thank you to whoever replies

Either use Firefox browser or amend Safari by going to Safari > Preferences > General and ensure there is no entry in "Open safe files after downloading"

I Have Found A Easy Way To Downgrade YOUR Iphone From 3.1.3 (or Any Version) TO 1.1.1
Its Very Simply !
Just Download The Restore.plist File From
Restore.plist
Then Download The iphone 1.1.1 firmware From

Then,
Make Sure That Its File Name Is iphone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw
Not iphone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ZIP
Then Open This File Using 7zip
Then Delete the Restore.plist File !
Then Add The Restore.plist File That You Have Just Downloaded From The Mediafire Link !
Plz Note : Add Button on the 7-zip May Not Work !
So Just Open The File Using 7-zip Then Just Drag & Drop The Restore.plist File into It !
Then,
Using Any Version of itunes Just Restore your iphone In recovery mode.....
& Now you can Successfully Unlock & jailbreak Your Iphone with blackra1n, PwnageTool, redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, ultrasn0w and blacksn0w.....
