[1.1.2 OTB UK][Tutorial] Jailbreak & Bypass Activation

I've followed each step exactly, when I get to running the jailbreak.jar I get an error message saying Oktoprep needs to have been run first. please note that jailbreakme doesnt install oktoprep as it says it apparently does

i followed this:

it doesnt update the baseband (if you follow from the right stage) so even if it does all go wrong, you can restore to 1.1.2 and still use the phone :)
it will work fine, as long as you upgrade correctly (follow the guide)
and btw im an original user of this faq, and have updated. all is fine

ok, plug it into itunes, dont worry about the restore mode, just make sure its on
then, press and hold home and power for 10 seconds (make sure it is 10 seconds)
the phone should appear to turn off, then, release the power button, but keep the home button in for a further 10 seconds

Hi.

I've read through this thread and I can see that some people have been successful and other run aground. I also notice that it started back in Nov. 2007. I've looked through it and search but can't confirm that the original tutorial will work with:

-1.1.2 OTB
-Week 43
-BL 4.6
-BB 04.02.13_G

Can you confirm this before I try to get my phone running on a PAYG O2 SIM. If so, is there anything special I need to be aware of for this spec/week phone?

yes, it will work fine
on a forum like this, youll get waaaaaayyyyyy more posts asking for help compared to saying successful
in the tutorial, when you update to 1.1.2, make sure you press option for mac or shift for pc and select 1.1.2 firmware, or youll update to 1.1.3 which you dont wanna do at that time

no, i meant a uk iphone will only work with o2, a usa iphone will only work with at&t etc
youll need a hardware unlock

Hi All I can confirm that this worked for me with a 1.1.2 OTB week 43 UK iPhone with BB 04.02.13_G. I had problems at the very first step getting the iPhone into DFU mode but I followed this:

and it worked first go.

I've since put in a China 3GPP SIM which I configured using the STK menu that pops up when it was put in a Nokia phone (stuck to the O2 SIM that came with the phone). I followed these instructions:

Now running on T-Mobile and everything works fine. No tricky config was needed. Only the time zone needed to be reset to get the clock right. It even connected to (GPRS?) data OK.

I have the iPhone OTB 1.1.2 and I fully unlocked it by downgrading to 1.1.1. I jailbroke it then I used one of the unlock methods, but I accidentally upgraded to 1.1.3 in iTunes and it isn't working anymore. It's not jailbroken or activated. What do I do? Is there a way to downgrade at this time? I tried restoring using the 1.1.1.ipsf file but it gave me an error. Please help.

Also can someone clarify what the modem version is after the ziphone jailbreak/activate?
Does it stay at 04.03.13_G (the 1.1.3 version if thats the wrong number) or does it get downgraded to 04.02.13_G (the 1.1.2 version)?

Does it only get downgraded after the unlock?
