i used ur first tutorial to activate/jailbreak my OTB 1.1.2 4.6BL iphone few weeks ago, was an easy task thanks to ur great tutorial! ive been using an x-sim since(have a europe sim carrier).

as there's now finally a soft unlock solution (GeoHot made the impossible possible, hes a true genius! ) i'd like to use it instead of my current x-sim.

my question is:
1. do i follow ur new tutorial from beginning eventhough i have an already activated/jailbreaked (x-sim unlocked) iphone?
2. and more important to me, meanwhile i installed many applications, do i need to remove all of them before running the process???

yes you will lose your apps but make sure you sync your contacts and calendar and everything with itunes before u do the tutorial

A big, big thanks raffi. Had it not been for this guide, my iPhone would have been sitting on the shelf as a piece of decoration. I did all the steps, am stuck when I wanted to install oktoprep, it says that package download failed. If I try to install anything else, it says the same thing. Unable to download package. What could the problem be? Rest is working abs fine. Just stuck on the oktoprep step. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Ok when u press on the install button on the top right corner and the Install menu open where you have options INSTALL or ADD TO QUEUE or CLEAR QUEUE
press on Clear QUEUE and then go into all packages and try to see if you have COMMUNITY SOURCES INSTALLED or if there's an update of COMMUNITY SOURCES
and then try oktoprep again

thanks a lot raffi. That solved the problem. Another problem now. Although I am Getting the signals, I am not able to dial nos. Also, when I dial TO the no, I am getting the ring, but am not getting the ring on the phone. Also, when i go on recent calls, it goes back to the menu. It shows the number of missed calls in the phone, but does not show the nos. It is almost a non functional phone with only signals showing. What could the reason be? Appreciate any help

how do i save my cantacts with itunes??? i tried but i could not fined them. some help pls... 10x

Hello. I have an OTB 1.1.2 iphone.
before the release of this software unlock method, i had it jailbroken and it was working perfectly without the telephone features, of course.
Meanwhile, the unlock was released and it worked perfectly, but a friend of mine accidently (don't ask me how) upgraded the iphone to 1.1.3.... and now I have a lot of bugs like the contact list lost the alphabethical list on the right and all the contacts are toguere and the world clock insists on beeing 4 hours ahead, wich means that the received and sent messeges are all mixed up because of the time difference... damn. can you tell me what to do in onrder to put this thing to work properly... i don't know, how can i downgrad it and if i do that, will it be working? mayby I can reverginize it no? sorry... completely lost here. ah, another strange thing... the batery used to last 5 to 6 days, depending on how often i listend to music but now i don't even listen even more and it only lasts 2 days, top.

I just got to completing Step 4 SIM Unlock your I phone...successfully.
Am now trying to upgrade to 1.1.2.
When I go to Installer I do not see the TWEAKS 1.1.1 option and hence cannot install Oktoprep. Any suggestions ????

Help Help please help Raffi, you told me to do the tutorial as normal even thought it says slide to unlock in french.

Well I tried but after holding down the home and on buttons it does detect it's in recovery mode but the option 'check for updates' isn't available (which i know is ok as i don't require this) the other option is restore

please tell me what to do next?
