Is there any way this guide could be updated to include the update to 1.1.3 on a Uk 1.1.2 that has been downgraded to bypass activation then back to 1.1.2.
I know that in the current jailbreak the locate feature is not working but if you use an o2 sim not the iphone contract sim that came with the phone would it be possible to get it working some how?
thanks in advance.

Thanks but i was talking about this method (page 1 of this thread) i have done this so i have a jb 1.1.2 on O2 pay as you go.
i wondered if this guide could be updated now that the new firmware is out.
I was also wondering if the O2 users could get locate to work in google maps, would the new baseband still work as we are using the phone on O2?

Hello from the UK.
I'm seriously thinking of taking a plunge and getting an iPhone, I was just wondering, if I head over to the carpphonewarehouse to buy one, would the iphone be 1.1.2 or 1.1.3? Reason being I can't find a guide to activate an iphone with software version 1.1.3!!
Thanks for your time

If someone who has already used this method and moved over to 1.1.2 and then updates their install files to the latest version etc.. they will notice that there is an "update 1.1.3" within the installer; *IF* this method is used would our phone update properly and still be usable on O2's service (payg) ...
It's becomming a little difficult finding the right information for O2 payg users that have used the original method as listed on the first page (that has not been updated) ..
Any ideas?
