Just hold the power button (the one on the unit's top) until you see the message "Slide to power off", then power on again.

Hello,
I was able to jailbreak 1.1.2 and am using iphone sim freer ( http://www.iphonesimfreer.com/index.html) with a foreign sim card. Everything works however I cannot use the keypad to dial a call nor receive calls. Dialing a call from Contacts works. Would anyone know what could be the issue. Please help.
thanks.

So now that 1.1.3 is out with itunes can you still go ahead with step four of jailbreaking?
Will you get the choice to upgrade to 1.1.2 or will it just make you upgrade to 1.1.3 automaticaly if you try too?

Once this is done, jail break as usual using 1.1.2-jailbreak and it successfully does the jailbreak.. I just purchased OTB 52nd week 1.1.2, downgraded to 1.1.1, jailbreaked, upgrraded back to 1.1.2 and jailbreaked again using the instruction on post#1 (really good one) with the exception that instead of updating to latest, use "Shift" method and select the 1.1.2 file since its nolonger available on iTunes..
Important step is do not forget to hold "Shift" while clicking "update" on iTunes otherwise u will end up updating to 1.1.3 and locked to it !
UNABLE TO JAILBREAK USING 1.1.2-JAILBREAK (week 51)
I followed the steps in post #1 downgraded to 1.1.1 and jailbrake my iphone-OK
Install OktoPrep-OK
Then I upgraded using restore 1.1.2 file-OK
While running jailbreak.jar, computer shows an error " This utility can only be used if you have already run OktoPrep before upgrading to 1.1.2" and jailbreak stops.
Did anyone encounter this error before. I appreciate your efforts and help.

I had this error.
And i do this:
Instal oktoprep with installer.
When install oktoprep, you have upgrade to 1.1.2, imediatelly without reset or restart the phone, and dont forget press ok and home button. Now how you have install update 1.1.2 with shift, you have to prepare the itunes to update without DFU mode before this.
And i change to 7.5 itunes(i was in 7.6). But i think that is not the problem.
I hope that i help you.

Had similar error, issue was using restore button in itunes instead of update button. Had to restart the whole thing from downgrading it to 1.1.1. The instruction to use the update and not restore is included within jailbreak files, found it later, my fault. Just follow the fantastic step by step instructions (many thanks to raffi007 for putting this together and all the others that found the solutions and created the programs) .

Hey,
I followed the steps exactly.
I already downgradet to Ver. 1.1.1. and Jailbreaked....
But when I want to upgrade to 1.1.2 my Itunes now just suggests me the version 1.1.3.-Update!
Then Jailbrak does not work anymore!
How can I solve this prob?
thanks for answering

hey,
one more question :-)
is there any difference in handling the jailbreak, when using "sim-free-card" or "stealth-slim-card" ??

Thanks.
That was the mistake I was making. Instead of using shift+ UPDATE, I was using shift+Restore and iTunes was resetting my iphone completly to 1.1.2 (deleting OktoPrep that was installed after downgrading).
After jailbreaking and activating, I bought NextSim. I put it in with my cingular sim card and it works smoothly without renewing contract.
Only f-up is if I use Safari, it will cost me an arm and a leg.
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers
