[1.1.2 OTB] Downgrade/Activate/Jailbreak MADE EASY (For Newbies)

thank you for this great tutorial and all the comments! it's a smooth ride for me until the part in step 3 when i try to connect to the jailbreak site via safari. my iphone won't connect, saying that 'safari can't open the page because it can't find the server'. the wifi connection seems set up fine, and i have tried countless times... -any thoughts? thanks a million!

Just FYI for those wanting to do this on a regularly activated 1.1.2 OOB iPhone -- it works!

The iTunes synchronization worked flawlessly. While attempting to upgrade to 1.1.2 again, iTunes asked whether or not to update the freshly-formatted phone to my old sync settings. I did it, continued on with the guide, and it worked!

none of them works , only solution is to try it on a different computer

After the update back to 1.1.2 and the jailbreak I get the emergency slider and not the unlock slider. Can't figure out why.

does this kill the phone feature, i want to use my legit at&t activated sim...i just want 3rd party apps as well...

Hi,

I just got an OTB 1.1.2 iPhone and tried this tutorial. I downgraded it and it worked perfectly, then I set up my Wi-Fi and it works, but when I try to install AppSnap from jailbreakme.com, it goes back to the screen really fast and then nothing, I waited more than 5 minutes and it never rebooted.

Then I saw some people had this problem and tried their solutions:

- Complete Reset
- Connected/Not Connected to itune while doing it
- Try more than 50 times

Still no success.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this. Thanks alot!

Finally worked out! ~100 times seems better

I downloaded the 1.1.1 file, but which one do I select when I do the Restore thing? None of them seem to work.. Please reply fast, I'm stuck here phone-less.

you select the file you downloaded...
