My first post on this Forum, many on other forums, but first here. Hope it's not my last.
I have looked at a lot of the threads on this site, but don't seem to be able to find any threads with hardware specs to produce some similar bits of kit to Appple's current line up.
I would really like (if I manage to find the info) to build up a box along similar specs to a mac-pro, not a top end 12 core item, but close and have the latest OS installed.
I'm based in UK, so would be dealing with an internet supplier that supplies to UK.

Can anyone please advise on a hardware list i.e.
Motherboard - ??
CPU / cooler - ??
RAM - ??
Graphics card - ?? (suitable for home photo and video editing)
Sound card - ??
Case (form factor type) - ??
HD (1TB) - ??
Disc drive (poss blue-ray) - ??
Anything else I've missed that would cause a hardware issue.


Also, how do I then get the OS to operate on this new hardware.

I have bult my own PCs before, but always Microsoft OS, so would appreciate any pointers with the above.
