    Default Help with Hackintosh

I'm very new to the Hackintosh world, but have built many computers before. I have only built Windows based pc's, however, I have a gaining interest on a Hackintosh build. After some research, I have come to the conclusion that not all parts (i.e. motherboards, processors, etc.) all work when it comes to osx86 builds. So how do I know whether they work or not BEFORE I buy them? I am looking for an inexpensive, reliable computer for moderate use. I have my current build for video renders, gaming, etc. so I do not need a $1,000 build. Any help is appreciated.
