    Question Stuck on Apple Logo during Installation :(

    Hey there.
    I'm pretty new to Hackintosh, I've wanted one for a while but this is my first time getting around to it.

    I am following this tutorial, and using Niresh's 1.7.2 Kexts Fixed verison for my OS.

    What happens is, when I boot the CD, it starts, and then it runs the Apple logo. The spinning thing comes up, and spins around like twice and then freezes. I'm very frustrated and I am hoping that I'm not wasting my time.

    My Specs are:
    Code:
    Model: Dell Inspiron 1545
    Processor: Intel Celeron 900 @ 2.20 GHz
    Motherboard: Dell Inc. Model 0G848F
    RAM: 2048MB (2GB)
    Graphics: Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset Family
    Hard Drive Space: 128 GB
    If you can help, I'd be very very happy!

    Also, I set my SATA to AHCI, so I don't see how that can be the problem.

    Also, I've seen people saying to boot in verbose mode. I know it's the -v thing, but I have no prompt that asks me to do that, because when I boot from my Niresh CD, it loads, and it gives me 5 seconds to press any key, and then it loads for a second, and then I'm off to the apple logo that only spins twice and then freezes.

    Disregard my last post, I've figured it out.
    -v stops at FakeSMCDevice: Successfully initialized.
    Are there any commands I should run?

    Sorry about the extra posts, I can't edit my posts :l

    I've tried the following:
    -x Did nothing different, still froze.
    -f Still froze.
    GraphicsEnabler=No Didn't help.
    npci=0x2000 Nothing.
    UseKernelCache=No Still a nope.

    That's everything I thought of.

    i'm not sure if you're still looking into giving a whack at 'hackintoshing' but personally if I was you I would go with a vanilla install. Niresh is awful.
    Almost anytime I've dabbed my toes into using a distro it was nothing but hell.
