I've been in the process of getting Lion running on my laptop, but one thing I just cannot figure out is this intermittent random jumping and random clicking of my mouse. I'm using voodooPS2 from here (not a whole lot of versions of voodoops2 work for me), and I have a synaptics trackpad (version 7.5). I haven't been able to find much searching for "Jumpy mouse", etc. Anyone heard of issues like this or have an idea/guess of possible causes?
From more experimenting I've found the most common (or possibly only) trigger for the random mouse jumps and clicking is the mouse pointer changing icons (i.e. from an arrow to a cursor or clicking finger thing). Really weird I know. So if that gives anyone ideas to a possible cause please help me.
Hey, i got the same problem installing iAtkos...my mouse get crazy and i cant hit the Utilities to format the partition...any ideas?:fail
For me at least if you delete appleps2trackpad under plugins inside the appleps2controller kext (or voodoo instead of apple), then osx treats it like a regular mouse and no jumping occurs...u won't get multitouch scrolling but if you just need to to get through the installation process then you could try it.
I'm still trying to get rid of the glitching problem so i can use multitouch...does anyone know anything about this? PLEASE?
