I can't provide you a link, there are 2 friends on irc running it on a Dell if I recall right. It was a mess to install. So if I get it right, your device won't even do any booting? Did you boot verbose to see it or doesn't it even pick the boot process up?

yes, I am a -v addict by default I am in the process of debugging, and what I was able to find out is that 10.7.3 IOPCIFamily prevents boot from even getting to "Got boot device". It seems I need a 10.7.x compatible legacy IOPCIFamily.kext!?

    Details:
    Intel 945GM Express Chipset ICH7, powered by a 64 bit Core2Duo SSSE3 2GHz 667 FSB. SATA, non AHCI; GMA950 grfx. Win7 64bit/ 10.6.8 32bit on parallel partitions.

    /E/E contains:
    - NullCPUPowerManagement/ FakeSMC/ AppleIntelPIIXATA2

smbios.plist is from my 10.6.8 install, MacBook Pro 4,1.

    None of the below helped:
    different current bootloaders incl. latest Chimera/ w. or w/o DSDT from 10.6.8 install/ VoodooTSCSync/ remove AppleIntelPIIXATA2/ used AppleIntelPIIXATA SL version/ removed Firewire kexts/ installed working USB kexts from 10.6.8 install/ toggled several org.chameleon.Boot.plist settiings: -x -f/ arch i386 / CPUS=1/ PCIRoot 0 or 1

I dared to venture ahead, backed up (moved) all XTs apart from System.kext and installed ALL 10.6.8 XTs, keeping the arch i386 key/ string. Now finally one step further --> "Got boot device" --> "BSD root ..", but then KP in com.Apple.Security.Sandbox, dependency com.kext.AppleMatch --> install 10.7.3 Sandbox & AppleMatch kexts --> KP in TmSafetyNet --> install 10.7.3 TmSafetyNet --> KP in com.Apple.Security.Quarantine --> install 10.7.3 Quarantine.kext --> WOW, DSMOS arrives .. lots of AppleProfileFamily errors, and eventually stuck at HFS: Low Disk freeblks .. (I remove AppleProfileFamily because there is no such kext anymore in Lion)

--> remove arch i386 string --> KP in IOPCIFamily --> install 10.7.3 IOPCIFamily --> boot stuck at same place as when I started ...

UP'N RUNNING !!! thanks for Netkas (once more) --> netkas.org » Awesome (first dl link is for Lion, even though the posting is confusingly solely filed under ML .. ).

So now comes the fine tuning

Thanks Sam for your input, which motivated me not to give up!

    Have a beautiful Sunday,
