    Default Laptop Hackintosh Question

    Hi All,

I recently successfully turned my 3yr old spare PC into a hackingtosh with iATKOS L2. It works perfectly.

Now I am trying to use iATKOS L2 on my 6 month (ish) old laptop but whenever I get to the boot options for iATKOS it freezes on the "press any key to start iATKOS or f8 for startup options" screen.

My laptop is an HP Dv7 with the following information gained from AIDA64:

Motherboard Chipset: Intel Cougar Point HM65 Intel Sandy Bridge
    CPU: QuadCore Intel Core i7-2630QM 2200Mhz (2x100)
    DIMM: 4GB DDR3 1333

Any ideas why this is freezing? Is my laptop up to spec for this? Any other options other than iATKOS as this is definitely not booting.

Ive heard I can use my current hackintosh to make a boot USB and use that to install a retail version of lion on another computer but I cant find much information on this.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    thanks

You will never get a logical reply from ANYONE on this website. 99% of the people that use it are guests, and the 1% that have accounts are the people asking the questions.

Hey, no it didnt! The creation of the bootable USB worked fine, however for some reason my laptop wouldnt get to the installer stage. I am assuming its something to do with either my BIOS or the Kexts but I dont know for sure. Still trying to work through it!
