help my first hackintosh project
This is my first hackintosh project. here's my rig: i5-2500k, Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 Ver 1.3, 8GB DDR, Visiontek Radeon HD 4850 512MB.
However, i can't seem to even start installing Lion on my machine. Here's what i did:
-(on my Snow Leopard mac) mount InstallESD.dmg file (actually got from my buddy)
-format my 8GB Sandisk Cruzer flash drive to "Mac OS Extended Journaled" and set to MBR option
-run unibeast 1.3.0 and . It turns my flash drive into a Lion boot USB drive. (took 20+ minutes)
-I then plugged the USB into my PC and started
-changed settings in BIOS to boot from USB
strange thing, the boot screen actually shows two options: "KOK" (my flash drive) and "New", unlike other tutorials that say "you'll see a thumb drive with the tonymacx86 logo appear on your screen along with a single boot option: USB". Is mine normal?
after i select "KOK", the screen hangs on the apple logo screen with the spinning wheel for well over 5 minutes. The USB drive even stopped reading (no blinking on the drive).
I'm wondering which step i did wrong? Anyone help?
