So Im new and apologize if this should be elsewhere, but I just wanted to check something.

planning on following this guide but had a few questions.

1) that was done last year with some parts "deactivated." What are current specs in similar price range that are compatible with snow leopard
2) is lion a better move since, being newer, might have less issues?
3) would like to be able to game - so if anybody has any experience with dayz in particular and hackintosh hardware performance would greatly appreciate it. I have an i3 2100+fanless 5750 that runs it great at 1080p so Im hoping newer stuff will be cheaper to pick up?
