Ok, so here recently i hackintosh'd my Inspiron 1525, and i am currently running snowlepord 10.6.8 and Windows 7. My S.M.A.R.T status also recently became "failing" according to Macintosh os, and i am unable to edit any partions/anything on disk utility. The Reason the S.M.A.R.T status is failing is unknown, but no matter how many 3rd party programs i install to check the status they all say my drive is in great condition. How would i go into turning off S.M.A.R.T monitoring if the system BIOS does not have an option for S.M.A.R.T? If that is not possible how would i reset the data taken from the S.M.A.R.T test, or just simply retake that certain test. If you could please answer this question that would be amazing. I have been stumped on this for a while. Thank You!
