People reply, it always comes down to the question asked. The "Is xyz workign with xyz" is something you answer 100 times and than you get a headache. The mods do their best to answer questions, so do I, but most people jsut ask and go. Thats not fun, we are here as a community, not as an answering machine.

The Dell Mini should be easy to get going. What exact model have you got?

Theoretically you can use the USB thumb you got with your Air, is there a Intall disc image on it? Can you see the installer?

What stick? What device? The Apple USB or the normal? The Apple thumb should have a lion install image already flashed to it. I am a bit lost what you mean atm.

Maybe you can tell me what installation method you choosen, that would help.

    im using this guide

How To: Hackintosh a Dell Mini 10v Into the Ultimate Snow Leopard Netbook

the bit where you drag the os x install cd to the source, i cant drag the apple thumb to the source it doesnt let me i think its because the apple thumb doesnt have a partition anyway it wont let me view the apple thumb that way ie, show the: restore partition erase etc u will see in the guides pictures

also how many methods are their? and what are they? thanks for helping me!

If you can't do that, you can get the ESD.dmg inside the lion installer from your Mac. (right click the lion Installer "App" -> open package) look inside for the ESD.dmg, thats basicly the install ISO
