Dell Inspiron 15R Alu N5010 and Lion problem.
Hi. I've tried to install Lion on my lap and I can't get it to work. After loading kexts i get black screen and nothing happens.
My lap specs:
Cpu: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 M370 @ 2.4GHz
Chipset: Intel HM57 Express
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB
Audio: IDT 92HD79B1
Lan: Realtek RTL8103T Ethernet Controller
WiFi: Dell DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card Network Adapter
I wonder if someone did install almost fully operational Lion on these specs.
All help will be appreciated

I've got Snow Leo running pretty smooth on it. Now I'm trying with clean install of Lion but with no luck

Try Installing with Mac App Store, or install via userland instad of boot from cd. But try App Store first.

Sure!
First download iBoot Legacy then wirte it to a disk. Then into your bios, set HPET (High-Precision Event Timer) to 64-bit, and make sure that AHCI (Advanced Host controller Interface) for SATA devices is enabled. Set the boot priority to CD/DVD. Save and exit bios. Turn off the computer. Boot up then ASAP put iBoot Legacy into the disk drive. When booted to iBoot Legacy eject iBoot Legacy and inseart Snow Leopard. Click on Snow Leopard in iBoot. Then go into Disk Utillity. Format you HDD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Exit Disk Utility then install Snow Leopard. When you get back, the chances are you'll be greeted by the following message:
"Install Failed. Mac OS X could not be installed on this computer The installer could not start up from the disk "XXX". Try selecting your disk using the Startup Disk utility."
What you've discovered here is that you still need the iBoot disc. Boot off this again, select you HDD... and now discover that the installation has in fact succeeded beautifully. Next download and install the latest combo update for Snow Leopard. When the combo updater asks you to restart, download and install Multibeast with selected drivers. When the Multibeast asks you to restart, press restart on combo updater. Now when you reboot you should be able to do this directly off your hard drive, putting the iBoot disk aside.
Done. All complete. Stay tuned if you also want to install Lion.
Install Lion. Next download and install the latest combo update for Lion. When the combo updater asks you to restart, install Multibeast with selected drivers. When the Multibeast asks you to restart, press restart on combo updater.
Done!

Thank you very much!
I will try to do it, I just have one more question. Is everything (wifi, SDcard reader, graphics) working fine, or they are some glitches?

Yes,
There are some glitches, and this, like allways may not work.
DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Sorry for the late reply. Guide that Help posted is right to install SL on that lap. I've used the same guide
Ok, I've installed Lion running with Ati graphics on internal monitor but I can't get sound, wifi (unsupported yet) and lan working. Any ideas?

kudlacz87,
Download and install the latest combo update for Lion. When the combo updater asks you to restart, install Multibeast with selected drivers. When the Multibeast asks you to restart, press restart on combo updater.
That should install all the drivers.
