he is refering to geohots IPSF style unlock method for 3.9, later on with gbootloader (to downgrade 4.6 to 3.9) and later on gunlock method he used to use in his ramdisk-payloads.

of course he does not know, because zebra removed all credits and said he did the hacks himself.

and zebra script kiddy is a windows user - ziphone is scripted on windows with windows shareware programs...

Ever since the beginning, (June 29 2007), the dev's has always been there, blasting code snippets through IRC eventually crawling inside the bootloader.

For a breif time, IPSF came flooding across the boards, and Mr. Zi seemed to win a "Round". Now that 2.0 is final, Zi seems to bow out. No matter what Zi does in the future in his money-grubbing ways, the dev's will always be there.

NerveGas has published a book detailing the innards of the phone (2G) through the dev-team. That's alot of work (constant project since day 1), and give credit where it's properly due: the devs.

2.0.0 is like when the phone came from 1.0.x to 1.1.1 and will require alot of work. Too bad I don't have those skills in tinkering around in hardware, else I would love to help. I loved hitting refresh till two in the morning to see the latest dev's wiki pages (the first one). I am in love with the sprit of hacking that requires constant analysis of byte for byte reversing while downing many, many highly-caffinated drinks

Other teams/groups will come and fade.. IPSF, Mr. Zi and lets not forget AussieiPhoneUnlock and that ruckus of stealing code and making a rather large "donation" back to those who stole code. what remains is the world-wide effort of the devs because the true sprit remains with them.
