Default [YouTube Edge Solution fix] for 1.1.2 fw when only GPRS connection is supported

    Hi
I'm not taking the credit for this find "tonydeli" worked this one out.

I just no there are a lot of people like me that haven't been able to access Youtube without Wifi after updating to fw1.1.2

He's loading the Youtube.app from fw1.1.1 with winSCP etc on to fw1.1.2 and it allows Youtube to run perfect with only a GPRS connection like it used to.

    It Works Great

    See Below¬

If your carrier only provides GPRS connection, and you have updated to 1.1.2,I believe that you have seen that youtube.app works only with EDGE or WiFi.Today I copied the 1.1.1 youtube.app to my phone and guess what...It WORKS with GPRS!

Nice job. Downloaded the file, copied it to my iphone and works like a charm. Do copy a back up of Youtube.app before you do this just in case something goes wrong.

Can someone hook me up with a copy of the original 1.1.2 youtube.app? I accidentally deleted mine instead of copying it and the 1.1.1 version is not working for me. (I'd rather not restore and go through the whole jailbreak and reinstalling apps, etc. - Thanks!!)

    Yeah, me too.

God, sometimes I am such a fucking idiot I should just bang my head into the wall for several hours to remind myself to always back shit up.

I copied the files over, overwriting the older ones, and you tube came on even after a restart. It didn't change anything so I figured to delete the whole folder and import from the rar.

Restarted the phone, and now youtube comes up with a white screen and goes back to the spring board.

a 1.1.2 youtube.app would be appreciated from anyone.
Or maybe a fixed version of this?
I would love to get this working.

By the way, tzones is a GPRS service, right?
Youtube, along with other things wouldn't work before, mainly chat apps that use specific ports, and I tried all the fixes to get them to work, but nothing did.

Hopefully this is the solution, at least for youtube.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hey,
    thanks for trying to help.

I switched the files in that RAR with the ones in my root/apps folder, but still no go.

Still just goes into a white screen, and then comes back to the spring board.

Is the version you uploaded the one WITH the fix or the original 1.1.2 files?

Hope I didn't ruin my youtube forever.
