[Yet another] i forgot my passcode, how to reset it as iPhone is not JailBroken ?
I have been trying to figure out the passcode I set on my iphone but I seriously forgot it. Yes, I know its a stupid move but I have tried over 200 diff passcodes.
Is there anyway to bypass the passcode and just get into my phone? I have not jail broken it but I was wondering if I did a system restore, would this remove the passcode? Also, will I lose my contacts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, a restore will fix this and yes, you will loose your contacts. If you don't like the idea of restoring, jailbreak it...
If you are on 1.1.1 the jailbreak is easy, if you are on 1.1.2 forget about it, just restore, and if you are on 1.0.2, jailbreak with AppTapp.
If you prefer to jailbreak and not to restore, tell me and I can guide you to the right direction.

Thank you! I will try to restore first.

Do the *#307# trick using the emergency call screen. In case you are not familiar with the process, you enter that number, press send, press accept, end the call, and press decline. That drops you at your contacts screen, so you can at least access your data from there. Unfortunately, you can't reset the password without knowing it, even with access to the prefs app. I always thought there was a way of resetting it using itunes, I think I heard it somewhere, or that might just be for the iPods.

Yes, if you protect an iPod with screen lock, connecting to iTunes will solve, but unfortunatly this isn't applied for iPhones.
