Adding yahoo mail account problem

I have been trying to setup my yahoo mail on iPhone after applying a hack. But for some reason, it does not work. It keeps telling my password or username for IMAP.apple.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect. Can some1 help me?

You're probably actually typoing your password; which I did about 4 times before I got mine to work.

I have a real-deal fully activated phone though.

Yahoo Mail from the phone's Mail client is definitely not working. Can't validate the account. Tried everything.

Can someone else with Yahoo Mail account confirm this?

And if anyone has the solution, please be kind and share.

It works for me, and Gmail works as well. You just have to try it again.

This was happening to me until i loaded the youtube hack. Both of my iphones were doing the same thing until that.

+1. Did the youtube standalone hack last night and Yahoo started working instantly after it.

The YouTube hack will fix both YouTube and Yahoo mail. I've done it to 3 iphones and it works like a charm. I used the PACAY.rar package for the YouTube hack. Search the forums for it.

Had the same problem with GMail and my own IMAP account.

Solution: Delete the accounts, reboot your iPhone and setup the accounts again. This works very well here. All accounts (My own and gmail) working well after that.

Note: If you reset all settings or make a restore over iTunes and upload the automatical backup via iTunes, the mailaccounts don't have a password stored, if you save the password again, the mailaccounts are unusable. Why? Don't know, but the complete delete of all accounts, after restoring over iTunes, and set it up again, works for me without problems.

Since last night when I tapped on the mail icon and it goes to my inbox, it's been in the "Checking for Mail" status all night. It won't stop doing that and download my new mail into inbox. I've deleted the account and created again. I've done a reset by holding the home button and top bottom on the iphone. Is it something with the yahoo server? I've switched from Wifi to Edge but get similar thing. It just seems to be stuck on that command for some reason. By the way I'm on Tmo. Anyone else have had this happen? Any ideas what's wrong and how to fix it?
