Default Wrong iphone 2g battery state after SWIFI

    Hello,

I have a problem and I am almost desperate....

I baught a iphone 2g which had greyed wifi and bluetooth. (probably screwed by ziphone or something).

I fixed this with SWIFI solution of the dev team.

Now wifi and bluetooth is working perfect!

But now the iphone only works with external power (after swifi)

The battery is fully charged only the state indicate totally empty. The charging sign in the above corner is at full state (connector icon).

This all is at firmware 1.1.4

Just upgrade you should think....forget about it.

When upgrading to 3.2.1, the iphone starts and shuts down immediate. The same for firmware 3.0 and 3.0.1...

Could it be wrong battery callibration? and if so how to adjust this??

    Thanx in advance!

I never see anything like this.
It is great that swifi fixed your wifi+bluetooth issue.
Can you put iphone in DFU mode and restore with firmware 1.1.4 ?

    Thanx for reply!

Putting the phone in DFU mode is no problem.

I have updated, downgraded. Did all possibilities. Read many forums.

Upgraded starting from 1.1.1 and up.

    Restored many times.

I had one time that the battery was ok, after a power off the problem was there again....

One time I found one topic about deleting battery profile file or something like that, only I lost the link and now I cant find it anymore

    Its freaking me out

I think the battery profile file you are talking about is this battery usage profile that apple has issued to some 3GS owners to see if there really is a problem with excessive battery drain under OS 3.1.x. That simply creates a log file that tracks pretty much everything you do on the iPhone and i assume this gets sent back via iTunes in a similar way to how crash logs get sent back. This has nothing to do with you.

You might have a real problem with your battery. Apple has a diagnostic tool called BurnIn - The iPhone Wiki that can help them evaluate if the problem is the battery.

As it is a 2G iPhone, you are likely out of warranty. leaving you with the overpriced official apple battery replacement program or replacing the battery with an unauthorized one.

I think youre right that the problem is at the battery profile.

The strange is this, before I fixed the wifi problem, Os 3.1.2 was installed and working fine.

Downgraded it to many versions and only on Os 1.1.4 and below, the phone is accesible.

Above 1.1.4 the phone boots, shows activate screen and shuts down, even with external power.

My own conclusion that it 99% sure a software problem, only I can't find any info regarding tweaking the battery profile

What baseband does the iPhone report now at 1.1.4?

When you run boot neuter, do you have the 4.6 or 3.9 bootloader? Do you have fakeblank enabled? Don't change anything just report back.

Baseband, I don't know, the firmware is at this moment 2.1 so probably that baseband which came with it.

Bootloader is 4.6 and fake blank is not enabled anymore (was enabled for using swifi).

I also tried en tested with bootloader 3.9 and fake blank enabled. Made no difference

In unlocked state, the phone function was working perfect.

Have you tried a "Settings→General→Reset→Reset Network Settings"?

    Default Update

    Little progress...

I found out that by pressing the sleep butting imidiate after the iphone is booted, the iphone doesnt power down anymore.

The baseband version is 04.05.04_G Os 2.1

The battery icon state is at complete empty, but the phone is still working

Im gonna wait till the battery is completely drained and then hope for a miracle

GSM, WIFI and BLUETOOTH at full power draining battery
