Assuming that you're using iTunes to sync your phone, then the solution is above.

I have a different problem with the world clock. Any location I add from around the world, the clock is wrong. I don't have a clue how to fix it. I'm in Bermuda which is GMT-4. I set the timezone to Halifax which is the same as Bermuda, but it still doesn't show the correct times for the cities I have selected.

Well, i dont use itunes to sync but what i did was just save the files of the phone book and calendare on my computer before the restore and than upload them back to the iphone after the restore.

Try this -
Go to the Date & Time settings.
Turn off the "Set Automatically" and set your time zone and set Date & Time.
Then see if it will help.

Hmmm..... People, just delete this:
var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mobiletimer.plist
You even don't have to reboot your phone.

delete the file var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mobiletimer.plist doesn't solve with version 1.0.2; after press de clock icon then it comes to springboard again.
