I was succesful with the hardware unlock which seems like old news these days. I am having trouble with the SW unlock;

First I can not get 7.4 to run on my pc . I can update it but it gives an error saying files are missing. I uninstalled itunes and reinstalled using apple.com support directions several times.

SO I installed 7.4 on another PC and got the phone updated to 1.0.2

Then I went back to the PC with the bad itunes and can not get winstall to jail break. I get an unhandled exception error. Tried to use ibrickr and it never connects to the phone.

I assume the problem is the itunes program still not properly installed.

1. Anyone have a suggestion on getting itunes loaded right?
2. Do i need 7.4 running on the same PC that i do the unlock on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

First of all ,is this the same phone u hardware unlocked?

if not then
you know the solution urself,connect ur phone to the computer which has itunes working fine ,use ibrickr on that comp only should work fine.

and for totally uninstalling itunes ,google any utility which will completely uninstall it

I heard iBrick wont work for 7.4 iTunes

Instructs for jailbreak with wInstaller.

Extract zip to C:

Windows + R = RUN

cmd

In cmd window.

c\

winstaller

winstaller jailbreak




All this needs to be done with the phone Pluged ofcourse.. After a Restore and u need to open once ur itunes with the iphone pluged after de restore until it recognize it. Close itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe in the task stuff

And try it.
