I have been trying unsuccessfully to connect my iphone to my home computer ... At first I hadn't yet upgraded iTunes to a new enough version for it to recognize the phone so it charged, but couldn't connect. Windows always tried to identify it as a camera...

So then I updated iTunes, and now whenever I plug the phone in I immediately get a stop error, blue screen of death!!! I don't get it. It says the error is at 0x0000007e, and is related to ousbehci.sys (which is related to my USB controller I think?).

Any ideas on what to do about this?

As an aside, my charger doesn't work, so if I can't plug the phone into the computer, it will not be able to recharge!

Is this an unlocked iPhone or anything?
If it isn't bring it back and the broken charger.

stop error solved. It just needed a usb driver update. stupid windows...

anyway, yes it's unlocked, but the problem is with the charger, not the phone, since it charges fine when plugged into an ipod charger at a friend's house.

It would be insane if I went into the store with my defective a/c adapter and they said "it looks like you haven't activated your phone with AT&T, so we can't help you with that..."
