Somewhere in the line of unlocking my iPhone I managed to break my Wifi. At this moment everything in my phone seems to work, it's unlocked, but I just can't connect to any wireless network. I have unlocked my iPhone using the software method.

When I try to connect to a network, the iPhone displays an error "Unable to join the network". I have tried several routers, with and without encryption/security without success. Wifi worked perfectly before unlocking the iPhone.

Strange thing is that restoring the iPhone with iTunes doesn't fix things. I have even tried to restore the baseband manualy by extracting 2 files (ICE03.14.08_G.fls and
ICE03.14.08_G.eep) from iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw using the following commands:

bbupdater -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls
bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep

After running these commands the iPhone is still activated but of course locked again. Wireless however still won't connect to any network.

I have also tried deleting the network settings ('Reset Network Settings function in the menu).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am using firmware 1.0.2.

Does the baseband has anything to do with wireless anyway or is it GSM/Radio only? I tried bbupdate because I read it would solve the "NO WIFI" problem which is different from what I am experiencing but it is about wifi....
