    Default [Wifi] Strange issue

    Hi Guys,

I have been searching, searching and searching and I was not able to find the issue.
The problem I have is that I can connect to Wireless AP however, it seems that when I am in the Wifi settings, all the bars are light up on blue. As soon as I leave the WiFi section and I go back to the main page, dashboard or summerboard as you want to call, the bar have gone down to nothing just a dot, sometimes I have all bar light up except 1 or two.
Strange part is that at home (a condo) I have wireless router and is feet away from me and I have only 2 bars and internet and weather all is fine.
At work I connected to an AP with only 1 dot of signal and internet is super fast.
Any ideas how to fix this?
I am using Rogers in Canada and I have 1.1.4 I got the phone on the Store of Chicago and I unlock it using Ziphone.

    Regards,

    Diego

I don't think there's a fix for it. the indicator is not very reliable and reacts very slowly to changes (as does the cell bar indicator). You have to give it sometime before you get a (somewhat) reliable reading.

Oh, Trust me. I have. I have the phone on all day and the wifi on all day and when I am at home I never get more than 3 bars lets say out of the 4.
I have no idea why this happens. Also, I am at work now. I picked up a Linksys router. I am flying on the internet, and I just have a dot...
How is that possible? I thought there was a correlation between signal and speed you could attain?

What I'm saying is that the indicator is not that reliable. Just because it has one dot it doesn't mean your signal is not strong. Myself, sometimes I get full bars even if the signal is weak. It happens on all iphones and there's no fix about it. I don't think it's that much of a deal.

    Not at all...
I was just wondering if it was me or the phone. I wish would be a way to fix this, because that behaviour implies that if you see an open AP, with just a dot, you can try to access it, but you will never know if it is a good signal strength or not..is a gambling business...grrr..
