I just received an Iphone but Wifi is not working. Is it possible that the last user did something that disabled? I tried reseting networks and at first it did at least appeared and I was able to turn it ON and OFF, I do have wifi available were Im at, and with my other Iphone is working great here. When I was able to turn it ON I couldnt navigate on any network.

Any ideas? thanks for the help.

Now I can get it On and OFF and it shows WIFI and it says thats connected to my network but it keeps saiyns "safari cant open the page because it cant find the server"

maybe it's a dns issue, try to set it. good luck

Turned th iphone off and then ON

Now again I dont have the WIFI present

on SETTINGS
below airplane mode and wifi it appears Carrier, this isnt in any of my other iphones.

probably because this iphone is the only one with a sim card in it?

k lets see what can be done, first things first if your iphone can connect to your wifi then 100% you should be able to browse safari, if it does not try browsing with your laptop or desktop which ever you use and see if connected to wifi can you browse if not then there is no problem with your iphone if you can then you should be able to browse i dont see any reasons why it should not. what is your wifi settings by the way are you on ppoe connection.

I checked the settings with anoher IPHONE and they are both the same, one works and the other still has the same message "safari cant open the page because it cant find the server"

Could it be something done wrong trying to do a hardware unlock? I didnt try it but maybe the person before me tried to do it, if it was opened it was a cleanly beatifull job since since I checked but it seems no signs of being opened.

One more thing is that it now says CARRIERS below AIRPLANE MODE and WIFI
have tried to erase it but havent been succesful.
On another note every time I turn it on it says "Waitin for AT&T activation, this may take some time"
In my other Iphone that doesnt appear.

Did a complte Restore and now it works again

try choosing forget this network on the iphone..then change the password on your router to a WEP HEX..and then reconnect to it on your iphone
