Default WiFi Issues with OTB 1.1.2!

    Hey guys,

OTB 1.1.2 has been downgraded to 1.1.1, jailbroken, and everything has been working fine. Been surfing the web via WiFi at various locations.

Now at my current apartment I am having strange issues. I am connected to my WiFi network that has a simple WEP encryption that I entered the password for. I am getting an IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, and 2 DNS Adresses, as well as full bars of connectivity. Yet for some reason, I can't access the internet via Safari, update Weather or Youtube or anything??? Doesn't make sense at all!

Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated, Thanks!

What specifically should I be looking for?

Also, forgot to mention I currently have one laptop wired to this router, and another laptop connected wirelessly to this router with no problems.

    Thanks for your help!

What IP address is your iPhone getting when it conects to your router? Is it a VALID IP? If it starts like 169.254.etc etc then the IP is invalid which would cause your problem.

    Ok this is weird.

I accessed my router page and was just clicking thru the menus, but I didnt change anything. I close the window, and then I grabbed my ipod. Somehow the internet now works on it????

I don't know what happened, but it worked! Thanks for your help anyways guys.

And yea, I was always getting a proper IP like 196...........04, whereas my laptop is like 196...............02, that why I couldnt understand why I couldnt connect to the net.

Sounds to me your router just needed to be "cycled". Sometimes it's best to just simply unplug and replug your router. It might have just needed to resolve some DNS information from your ISP...Glad to know that you are up and running...
