Default wifi issues, 2.1. constant connect/disconnect

    hey

so the iphone is giving wi-fi issues. first i thought it was cydia related. its not.

itll connet to the network but will then disconnect/connect/disconnect/connect and so on. sometimes hitting renew license works but eventually its stable.

    any ideas??

    i did try a restore...
i used quickpwn, i keep getting error 1600 with a custom fmw so i had to do quickpwn

To rule out this could be a router issue, did you try to connect via manual TCP/IP, not DHCP? Next I would try is to set a different channel on the Router for Wlan. Sometimes this causes problems if you got lots of users around all riding on the same channel. Just for testing purpose, can you set your router to 802.11b only. All this just to rule out it is a router issue.

    paddy,

it was an issue with the wi-fi module. if youve restore to a new state over and over and it keeps giving the same issue...find a way to change the wifi module

    I had this issue,

does the wifi network your trying to connect to have any kind of protection?
When I connected at my job w/o WEP enabled it would always disconnect/connect/dc/etc... enabled WEP and I've been fine ever since..

It would connect ok with a non-encrypted network, no WAP/WEP/WAP2 etc.

But still had the occasional drops, but it was still better than with an actual encrypted network
