Default [Wifi] Cisco Clean Access agent

    Hi,
My school wifi recently adopted the cisco clean access agent for accessing the school's wifi network (using a login/password). Is there any way for me to configure my iphone to go through this thing so i can use wifi on it?

    Thanks!

You need a teacher's username and password. Those won't be easy to get. My school is on the Cisco network also. I just use my Edge instead.

My school, university of cincinnati, uses clean access agent but i beleive that Cisco does not make a mac version, so what i did was connect wireless to the internet using the schools network, then open safari and it should redirect you to a page telling you to set up the new "computer". It should ask at some point if it is a Mac or a PC, click mac and follow the prompts.

Default Sorry I didn't see this a while ago...

I would assume that your school also allows for video game console registration so that you can use services like psnetwork and xbox live through clean access.

What this does is register your mac address with the central servers so that they do not "question" the device's legitimacy as it attempts to access the network.

What I did to get around this was register the MAC address of my iPhone as if it were a PSP...

Your iPhone's mac address is here...

    Settings > General > About > Wi-Fi Address

Register that mac address with your school as a video game console that uses wi-fi (psp, ps3, ds, wii, etc.) to connect to the internet and you should be alright.

Unhappy No Cisco Clean Access Agent for iPhone

I have the same issue at my university: I can see the campus wireless network on my iPhone, but the first thing it wants me to do is download the Cisco Clean Access Agent that we use. There is a Mac version, but not an iPhone version. If you try downloading it you get an error message on your iPhone saying that Safari could not complete the process. This means that the only way to access my data services is to temporarily disable Wi-Fi while I'm at work, since the iPhone tries to default to the Wi-Fi network that it sees and thinks is available. I'd be interested if anyone else has run into a similar situation and has a workaround.
