We both went to www.iphonenetworktest.com
His phone's result is around 450-500kbps. But mine only stayed at 125kbps, no matter how many times I tried!
And we are using the same $5.99 t-mobile plan..

How come?? iphone edge is really suck..

iphone only supports 2.5 G

My friend's phone is 3.5G
But isnt it doesnt matter? since edge isnt 3G thing..

In real life use, EDGE will seem as fast as 3G. EDGE also varies from location to location and from operator to operator.

I get 200kbps with Orange France.

We are using the same plan, same location, same time, same operator..
But just different phone..

Jeez... Iphone is 2G, your friends phone 3G. So, it's only normal that a speed test would give better results. On the other hand, the iPhone is much faster in rendering the page then most other phones. So it wont matter if it's the same network or same data plan.

yeah, the iPhone does not have the hardware inside for 3g speeds

Which I prefer I dont get 3g round here anyway and I'd rather the extended battery life, its fast enough for me!

We only get 56KBps speed from my broad band at my house which isnt that much faster than edge
