Why Care About Useless Update???
Im kind of surprised. Really, actually.
After 3 months, the first update basically brings in a new application that helps Apple making more money, a simple shortcut via home button, and the ability to re-order my stock view (LOL)???
Wow....thats big.
Let me recap and DO CORRECT me if im wrong...ill be happy:
1- I still cant send a friggin multiple SMS?
2- I still cant forward an sms? or edit it? or basically do anything with an sms?
3- I still cant send (OR RECIEVE) an MMS?
4- I still cant shoot a video?
5- I still cant have some basics option on my camera?
6- I seriously still cant multiply delete the 140 mails i have???
7- Obviously tough luck if i want to write in a different language (not French...maybe Spanish, quite popular in US).
I mean...is it me or having the buddha-guy explaining me how REVOLUTIONARY is the update makes me feel like thinking "so he really DOES think im an idiot...".
Im worried: i love my iphone, but the above bugs honestly are really big. I mean, they hamper my day to day phone usage experience...I was absolutely sure they were just flaws that were going to be fixed, but now im seriously scared.
I still cant believe any of them is an hardware problem, so now im starting to think at Apple they've started drinking.

Apple doesnt give you anything for free. they are smart... i bet the next version of the iphone will include some of the things you listed. When we bought our iphones we knew what we were getting.. we cant expect new features for free now can we? I agree i wish my iphone had those things too, but apple is in this for the money.. so i highly doubt that they will include (big) new features for free.

I remember Apple stating that they would continually update and improve the iPhone after release.
So I think we can safely say that we do expect new features for free.
After all, do you expect to be charged for all those Windows security patches?
If Apple knowingly allows a huge security flaw on their phone to exist without patching/notifying their customers, they could be very liable for any damages resulting from that.

that seems pretty vague though, software bug fixes is technically improving the iPhone right? I'm just saying that I will be surprised if they add big features to the phone. How else will they entice us to shell out another 600 bucks when the iPhone v2 comes out?

Point is, im not talking about any "feature". What im talking about is basic stuff that is present in ANY cell phone which was made in the past 5 years.
Im talking about features that prevented two people that i know to actually buy an iphone. I was telling them things like "obviously they will soon fix this multiple sms thing", and they were like "as soon as its fixed ill buy it".
I mean, guys like that work for example in pr cant simply work without that.
And...i dont think its a "feature" to be able to delete 100 mails in one go...
Apple really screwed this big time. There are a few incredibly simply, incredibly annoying bugs in the iphone that really are too stupid to be true.
