Where to start? Phone is unlocked. Now What?
hi
I got my iphone unlocked already with firmware v.102, I'm using my local GSM Sim card without any problem.
Now, I want to add my photos, my videos and other stuff. I'm afraid to use iTunes as I read that it shall start with activation/restoring of the Iphone and mine already activated with my local sim, and I could loose it.
Is that true? then where should I start? so that I can load my Iphone with my stuff?
thanks

No problems, just when it asks you that a new firmware is availalble, make sure not to download and install. Should keep your older versions of itunes if possible.

iTunes v.7.4.1 or 7.4.2 works great. Don't use v.7.4.3
v.7.4.1 will allow you load your own ringtones, v.7.4.2 doesn't (you have to buy for $0.99 in iTunes Store)
In the Main menu "Edit"=>"Preferences"=>"General" disable "Check for updates automatically".
Done.
After that you can use an iTunes to manage an iPhone.

iTunes 7.4.3 is for iPhone v.1.1.1
I didn't try. May be it is OK.

Thanks Hydro for the quick link.
About activation and restoring in iTunes, what both mean exactly?

I've been using 7.4.3 with no issues whatsoever. I still have 1.0.2
