I don't imagine anything significant would ever be achieved if ANY of the Developement teams or parties, who are seriously involved in this project, spent as much time and energy sitting online and debating on symantics and shyte, as some of the members on this forum.

    Ozbimmer,
I follow this forum since mid-July and think that you and Vladimir have made a major breakthrough for the development of the Supersim/TurboSim methods to archive and help hundreds of iphoners to"sim-unlock" their phone. Even though other people which contribute with putting together a tutorial on your finding (Sassha ?) got the most of credits.
I always thought that you and Vlad were part of the DevTeam, and was surprise by this reply.
Great respect for you and Vlad

    PS. I still don't know if my sim is V1, V2 or V5674 :-)

the fact of the matter is...we all just want our phones unlocked. if you've spent 400 or 600 on one of these phones which originally only worked on a single network...you are just looking for someone smarter than yourself to figure out how to unlock it. why should that be free anyway. there's a great concert movie that came out a year or two ago called festival express where some amazing acts from the late 60's and early 70's went out on a cross canadian tour to have a blast, do concerts, & make music. someone backed that enterprise and charged nominal fees for tickets but in the spirit of the times quite a few people felt the music should be free and riots ensued in some cases. yet those groups needed to be paid, there were set-up and equipment expenses, promoters fees, etc. someone does the work someone should get paid. i don't play with computer codes. my I T guy comes over and does it for me. he's not obligated to do it and i pay him for his time because i'm too much of a technology moron to do it myself. i've donated 100 to the dev team...in the US not much more than a nice dinner for a bunch of guys working late into the night. i'm happy to do it. i work. i expect to be paid. anyway, i've ordered a turbo sim. i didn't cancel it because of this news. and i don't want my donation back either. what the hell. i just want my phone to be unlocked so that i can use it with my t-mobile sim for the next five years while most people have to go through at&t. yesterday my first thought was when's the dev team gonna unlock this thing i don't wanna pay twice and then i realized what i was saying was very selfish. there are lots of people out there trying to unlock this phone and i thank all of them. kids like geohot, whether they're privileged kids or not, who knows, the dev team, i don't know how they live. i know i can afford a 600 dollar phone with no guarantee of working without someone's help. i just say bring on the code, dev team or not free or for a hopefully nominal charge. i'm happy too support and reward any effort to accomplish what i can't. sam, if you read this...sorry that i even sent you a message that implied anything different because i certainly didn't want to come off that way and your gracious response just helped me remember what this is all about.

i have no hard feelings towards sassha or others who take credit of my work. actually i am glad that people benefit from what we have found.

when you put IP on the net without any proper protection you can surely say bye bye to your hard work

I know you don't have hard feelings towards Sassha (me neither). Actually, I think you Vlad and Sassha are part of the same team the "SimTeam".
I learned so much on sim card in the past month thanks to you guys.

PS Sassha, if you read this post I didn't want to offend you. I think you're a great tutorialist, almost as good as MetalRat :-)))

ag: vlad was kind enough to consult me about releasing the method. i think sassha was keen to get the info out so he put up a tutorial, which was great. and i appreciate he put vlad and my name in the tutorial.

just one note: i think sassha need to review the tutorial a bit. people have been asking me why my method (published here www.dvdtoiphone.com/Oz-Vlad.pdf) is different to his.
