Default What would be broken after a iPhone dip in the toilet?

Yea so a long story short, I dropped my iphone in the toilet. and after trying everything that anyone suggested, I realize this thing is not coming back to life.

So today i took it to the apple store to have them fix it for $200. But they soon told me without activation with AT&T they could not help me.

So my question is what do you think is fried or broken inside of the phone. Is everything broken or can I buy some replacement parts and fix it myself...is it even worth fixing it??

You should have told them in the Apple store you hadn't had a chance to activate it before you dropped it in the toilet...

I find it really ridiculous that they just discard you because you are not with AT&T. The f***k does not being with AT&T have anything to do with the hardware?

Why the f***k can we even buy this thing and get out of the store without them forcing us to activate in the damn store? Why can we even buy it? This is like the biggest scam ever.

Love my phone though, I hope it's not needing a fix from Apple anytime soon.

So if I unfortunately buy an iPhone that really has defect and can't be turn on in the first place, are they going to tell me to activate it first? Stupid...
