Am planning to buy iPhone 3GS next month, so sure it will be 3.1 OTB and Dev-Team report that who update to 3.1 might wont be able to Jailbreak their devices and looking at Twitter / chronic dev team: iPhone 3.1GM is still vuln ... makes me confused

Any Suggestions ?

If you'd buy a OTB 3.1 3GS iphone now, you won't be able to unlock it. What the dev team is talking about is that 3.1 seems to be jaibreakable. But the jailbreak is a very different thing from the unlock. In a month most probably there will be tools to jaibreak the phone, but who knows if an exploit for the unlock will be found.
