What is the best method to unock?

thanks in advance
ziphone is very easy to use so i say that
But does everything other than youtube work? and does youtube work useing the geohot method?

I really dont know... I "unlocked" 4 iphones with ziphone, and all of them are no service..........
What does this even mean??

Personally I used the method used in the chatroom (#iphone ) topic http://iphone.sleepers.net/gunlock.html
It worked well except for youtube which had error:"cannot connect"
this can be fixed by adding i.unlock.no to your sources in installer
After this you will see an app. called "You Tube activation" which will get Youtube up and running once again.

Yeah this way is a pretty standard method and most people would have used until these new 'GUI-all-in-one's.'

When I did this I stopped before Step 12 ( I tried 1.1.3 when it first was soft-upgradable, didn't like it so stayed at 1.1.2 for moment( by repeating steps 1-11 all over again)). At the end of stage 11 your phone will be unlocked and able to make calls/fully functional ( might need some minor tweaks such as You Tube activation and Iworld if you are outside 'Iphone countries'
Even though this says Windows XP/Vista its pretty clearing a cut a paste job from the OS methods in stage 2 it says press the 'Option' key and 'Restore' in iTunes - --well it should say the 'Shift' key--
I think this will get you up and running when you get your new phone.
http://iphone.unlock.no/OTB112unlock.htm is worth a look too , essentially the same thing.
I.M.H.O. stick on 1.1.2 FW for a while, get familiar then upgrade to 1.1.3 after becoming confident and doing more research about 1.1.3- it doesn't bring too much more to the party.

I've unlocked 4 1.1.3 OTB iPhones over the last couple of days. All phones were unlocked with the ZiPhone method, and every one of them are working perfectly. No issues with signal, or what so ever...
ZiPhone actually works, and I will absolutely recommend this method to anyone who ask...
Yup, i 100% agree that Ziphone works extremly well n easy.
The (right) way to unlock OTB 1.1.2 and upgrade to 1.1.3 (ringtones work, EDGE works, Locate Me works on maps, iPod works, WiFi works):
1. downgrade to 1.1.1 boot with ibrickr and use jailbreak *#307# method
2. install okto prep for 1.1.2
then add this source: http://i.unlock.no and under "Unlocking Tools" install "1.1.2/1.1.3 OTB Unlock"
3. upgrade to 1.1.2 on UPDATE (NOT RESTORE)
4. jailbreak 1.1.2 then install
geohot unlock 1.1.2
BSD term fix
5. turn on Airplane Mode
turn off Airplane Mode
6. dev team offical upgrade to 1.1.3 (press first YES then NO)
"Attempting to Reboot" - manually reboot it by holding the sleep/wake+home buttons until it shuts off, then turn it on normally with the sleep/wake button.
7. add source sleepers.net/iphonerepo
update and install apps (these are the basic ones that i use)
Big Bossís Beta...
1.13 Safari Patch
1. add i.unlock.no source
2. install youtube activation under Unlock tools
3. restart the iphone
4. uninstall youtube activation
5. restart the iphone
6. install youtube activation
7. restart the iphone
8. test the youtube app. It will work now
I have collected and gathered info from a lot a websites and after long time (and a lot of unlocked iphones) i found the method that works!
Thanks to GeoHot, DevTeam and many others....
