Weird Post 1.1.1 Upgrade Experience
I don't like my iPhone since I upgraded it to 1.1.1.
To start with, even if I restored 1.02 before virginizing, and then upgrading and unlocking it, the apps I had installed in the 1.02 are still there, how is that possible ??
The second thing, is that I noticed a lag in manipulation, seems to me 1.1.1 is slower and produces unexpected behavior sometimes
Third, I can't SFTP nor SSH to my iPhone (iP is correct, reinstalled BSD, OpenSSH,...)
Fourth, I don't even see the International menu in General ?
I would love to erase/restore the phone to a clean 1.1.1, then I can do all the hacks again.
Do I have to go back to 1.02 and upgrade to 1.1.1 before restoring, or can I just restore it in iTunes and jailbreak etc.... ?
Also, anyone recommends a dummy guide to install Installer.app ?
Is Anysim 1.1.1 restore resistant ?
I'm confused someone help me please.

You are suggesting restoring in iTunes and then unlocking again using Installer.app ??
How do I put Installer.app in the phone ?

h. bennis, after virginizing, updating to 1.1.1 and unlocking with anysim 1.1, i also had a very laggy iphone. update also broke my openssh and bsd subsystem, which i could not reinstall. at the end i restored back to 1.0.2, WIPING everything from memory, updated again to 1.1.1 (the unlock survived), installed bsd 2.0 and installer 3.0 manually.
now it's behaving much better
bye

i'm on a mac, latest itunes
press both home and sleep buttons until you get an onscreen message that tells you to connect to itunes. itunes MUST tell you that the iphone is in recovery mode (otherwise retry pressing both buttons), press "restore" button in itunes while holding down "option" (or shift?), itunes now prompts you for the location of the firmware files (the .ipsw ones), point it to the 1.0.2 one and restore. at the end of the restore you will get an error because itunes could not flash the baseband. at this point close itunes, launch apptap installer, start installing, and the iphone should correct itself! (i read it somewhere), showing the usual page that it must be activated. launch indipendence and repeat all the steps to go back to 1.1.1.
hope it helps
PS: while in 1.0.2, you can install apptap, update it to 3.0, save a copy of installer.app, and after you update to 1.1.1, you just copy back installer.app and it works immediately!

I virginized my phone and upgraded & unlocked it to 1.1.1
The weird thing is now my phone's capacity only shows at 300 MB. Even in iTunes also. It shows the capacity is 300MB and says that there is not enough space to sync any data to the phone. Any suggestions???
