Weird Google Maps Locate Me

I have a 1.12 OTB iPhone updated through iTunes to 1.1.4 and unlocked, activated and jb by ziphone 2.6b. All has worked fine until today, when i select locate me it shows my position as Singapore. I am in Newcastle England. I have just retored and unlocked again and its the same again. Anyone have a similar problem or a fix

try it in a few different places, work, home etc
it may be that google hasnt fully finished indexing the locations of all masts in the UK yet

Yeah, I had that goofy positioning myself but only when I'm on WiFi.., not Singapore, but really way off... I guess that has to do with WiFi router (?) configuration or whatever there is you hook up to... Haven't tried on other WiFi networks though. It works fine on Edge...

Figure this one out... I have 2 iphones one is running 1.1.1 and the other 1.1.2. With the first one the phone senses ONE cellstite and places me somewhere in highway 171 (Iowa). With the second one the phone senses 5 cellsites and uses 3 for location and places me somewhere in the middle of the ocean between Cuba and Belize. Both phones are using a wifi network... I believe that it will give you better guesstimates using Edge. And by the way, I'm in Panama in the middle of the Americas'.

For me it doesnt work with edge, only when i am connected with wifi, then it shows i am in singapore doh

It all depends on your operator. If I put SIM card from certain operator (or mobile phone company - I don't know how it is called), it locates me in Mauritius, but if I put another operator's SIM in that same phone, it locates me where it should (in Croatia).
