if you are on 1.1.2 there is a new file to change.

if you are using Celsius change:

    If you are using fahrenheit

    SBWeatherFahrenheit.png

    located in -> /system/library/coreservices/springboard.app/

i'm not quite happy with this, because i would like to change the themes with summerboard. this way the new icons will stay. so i think we would need an update on summerboard?

    Thumbs up Solution!

ok, i found a good way to deal with the problem. the only ability you loose is the changing weather icon if you are switching to usa or other country modes that will have fahrenheit as default. since i'm a celcius-guy i'm dealing with it. i will never need the fahrenheit icon, even in other country modes.

    1.
you have to exchange the icon.png from
    /Applications/Weather.app/
    with
    SBWeatherCelsius.png from
    /System/Library/coreservices/springboard.app/

do this by copy the SBWeatherCelsius.png with any ssh-client to your desktop
    rename it there to icon.png
    copy it back to /Applications/Weather.app/
say "yes" to replace the original one (make a backup before if you like)

    2.
    Remove
    <key>SBIconClass</key>
    and
    <string>SBWeatherApplicationIcon</string>

    from /Applications/Weather.app/Info.plist

    done

if you now change themes with summerboard, it will show the modified icons, if you change to default it will show the celsius icon on the weather app.

Same here! Please PM me. I can not change the info.plist. I also tried to change it with wordpad to .xml, but it doesn't work.

Install plutil from Erica's Utilities... then go to weather.app folder and type
plutil -c xml1 Info.plist (please make sure that you are backing up your original Info.plist)
Once you do this, u will be able to see the Info.plist in normal format. Then you can remove the lines mentioned by cammac and save it. wholla! all done!

easiest way is to install source 'repo.itouchable.de' install weather icon fix

note: it says it works for v1.1.1 but also wrks on v1.1.2 and v1.1.3
