Default [Warranty] How do they process a replacement ?

First off, I live in the USA. My iPhone was jailbroken and unlocked to be used on T-mobile. The bottom portion of my screen stopped working. And I just restored, updated to 1.1.4, and activated ATT service today.

My sim tray eject button is broken, which is what I am worried about.

    Now my questions are:
1.) When they replace the phone at the Apple Store, do they swap out the activated sim card?
2.)Should I bring it in without a sim card?
3.) Do they require a manager approval for the replacement?

Is there any things that I should do to the iphone before bring it in?

    Thanks,
    Anthony

e are all currently wondering just how the process goes seeing as how bootloder modifcation is now available. If your jailbroken and unlocked yet activated through iTunes then yea turn that piece of sh!t in. However if your bootloader is modified then your in a grey area

you shouldn't have activated in itunes in my opinion. does that mean that you have an ATT contract now?

If your sim tray doesn't open, that means your phone has been dropped.

Push harder with the paper clip and get it to pop open.

If the phone has been dropped, warranties don't matter.

I sent mine into apple, they tell you to take out your sim. I dont know about taking it into the apple store though.

You have multiple questions here but here goes:
1)The tray broken is not a problem, you can take it to them with the card out of the phone, tell them your screen stopped responding and you thought taking the sim out and putting it back would fix it but it didnt. (it will not be covered under the waranty since it is not a defect but that decision is up to the person you talk to, just tell him it was broken when you took it out.).
    2) if they decide to switch it out they will take out your original sim and put it in your replacement phone which is already activated, it will work fine and when you connect it to itunes it will restore your old phone on the new one since you have a legally activated sim card.
    hope this helps

They just have one address but I think you have to call them before sending it in, they might give you a RAN (return authorization number) also to my knowledge they dont ship overseas so that is another issue you have to discuss with them.
