    Should be fine, just wait for a verified jailbreak and then use that if you are worried. Personally I'm going to wait.... why? The god damn waiting time for the restore and the backup and and and. I just cant take it anymore, unless 2.0.1 fixes that of course, anyone try yet?

    If your on an official contract and don't plan to unlock

    OR

    You have a factory unlocked 3G

    Then the baseband update does not matter!

    And using 2.0.1 QuickPwn to pwn 2.0.2 is not a problem.

    You can simply reflash with an updated version for 2.0.2 when it is out to remove any traces of the 2.0.1 hack of 2.0.2 and at worst you do a full restore which isn't a big deal.

    I have had no problems at all with my 2.0.2 unlocked 3G using quickpwn 2.0.1 on it.

    It has actually been smoother thanks to the update!
    iPhone US 8GB
    FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
    iPhone UK 16GB
    FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!

    Again, it is fine because it is a minor update. I continually keep saying this. But in the future, this is not good practice.

    Question: DEV-Team is able to downgrade Baseband. Is this downgrade then valid? Can I downgrade Firmware and Baseband if accidently upgradet Baseband [i.e. whilest the FW 2.0.2. upgrade with original FW (since pwnage for 2.0.2 is not available yet)?]

    Tried this method on a 2.0.1 custom firmware. Upgraded to 2.0.2 and ran quickpwn. Works fine

    I personally prefer updating firmware with a DFU restore all the time (not sure if this is bad for the phone); to me it is like making a clean install everytime I upgrade a computer OS (OK not quite )

    Anyway I've not had any problems with this approach; slow but sure

    Then again my iPhone (old) does crash occasionally - today it hung completely and I am wondering if 2.0.2 will fix it.

    Same here, I prefer doing a clean install on all my devices, PC, macbook and iPhone with each update.
