Since i've upgraded to 1.1.2 my voicemail button doesn't seem to function properly. Back in 1.1.1 every time I received voicemail a simple press would direct me to my voicemail and I would check messages normally. Now everytime i press the voicemail button it doesn't respond on the first press and on the second press it just highlights and does nothing. I installed iWorld and it only fixed the VM notification problem, which i didn't really care for since the red dot notification was enough for me.

Is there anyway to fix this problem so that it goes directly to my voicemail whenever i press the voicemail button?

What method did you use to upgrade?

PM Sassha. Maybe he can help. So far I have not heard of this problem on this forum or the modmyifone forum.

I can only suggest that you restore FW 1.1.2 or 1.1.1, but see what Sassha says first.

i had a similar problem
it appears that when you update to 1.1.2 it resets some of the AT commands assigned to the phone
so you need to use the *5005*86**xxx# method to reset your voice mailbox number, where xxx is the number of your voicemail.
try that and see if it helps.

I am having a similar problem.

used an older jailbreak 1.1.2 replaced lockdownd and then used anysim 1.2u while in airplane mode. when i hit the voicemail button i get a busy tone "beep beep beep beep etc." as if the call was rejected. i tried dialing *5005*86**xxxxxxxxxx#where the x's are my 10 digit cell number. it didnt work. any ideas??

itunes for what?? If u mean do I use itunes 7.5, yeah I have iTunes 7.5 on my mac.

well after playing around with the *5005*86 method i found out my iPhone won't dial my voicemail if I dial my own number (which works on Rogers in Canada) instead I had to manually put in one of the four numbers that direct you to Roger's voicemail.
