voicemail notification (red dot) doesn't go away
I unlocked my phone with the GUI, everything works just fine except for the voicemail. I am on T-mobile USA, but the damn thing keeps telling me that I have voicemail, although i have none...any solutions?

I get it everytime i reboot the phone, or get a VM
all i do to make it go away is call my VM and listen for like 5 seconds... even if no VM there.
then it just goes away

Hmmm... I have tried the following and it will NOT go away no matter what I do..
Reboot phone
Reset phone
Remove and replace sim card
Carrier Voice Mail Notification Settings
etc. etc.
I have multiple wireless providers (different countries). It works fine on my other provider so I guess this may just be a network issue.

This happens to me everytime I reboot my phone to fix this I
1)Call phone, and leave voice mail (make sure your iphone is on)
2)Call your voice mail, and delete (or save if you want to) your message
After you hang up it typicaly takes 5-10 seconds for the dot to go away but its worked for me an i am on (T-Mobile USA)

I'm in Canada (using Rogers) and I don't have voicemail on my cellphone account. Any chance that I can still get rid of the red dot? Or do I have to just get used to it?

My wife had the same problem (TMobile in US). The fix was simple, get a new sim card. She had a very old sim card, we went to a TMobile store and got a new one. Now the dot only shows up when she has voicemail and isn't present when there isn't any. She also had the problem where anytime she rebooted her phone the dot showed up. That problem is gone too. The TMobile tech told us it's because the sim card was using an old voicemail protocol. Getting a replacement sim card was free.
