my voicemail indicator was working fine since I used ziphone back in feb...I then had to restore my phone this past week, because of an error with bootneuter that grayed out my wifi, bluetooth and such. I got everything back up and working., however after using ziphone 2.5 ( I know I should have used iplus after reading here, shit) everything is back to normal except that I don't get an SMS or a red dot over the voicemail saying that I have some...kind of annoying....

I have 1.1.4 running unlocked by ziphone 2.5. and a week 45 phone. My sim card is version 4000. And I even called rogers today to tell them this, adn they cancelled an re-activated my voicemail. Seems to not have helped. what's also funny is that I swapped in my friends sim card, which is like version 2700 and when I sent myself a voicemail on that sim, everything worked. SMS and red dot for voicemail.....

anybody have any ideas, or should I just get rogers to give me a new sim card.....

Well I'm still using the old 2030 sim cards and mines working... but yours was working with the 4000 from before and then stopped working right?

Try using ziphone 3.0 or ipus .. doesn't take long to restore the phone... if that doesn't work find yourself a old rogers sim card... the new ones are 3g and pointless in the iphone anyways..

I'll either give that a try or maybe call rogers again and get them to give me a new sim card, since if it was working before, and my buddy's sim card works, then the phone itself is not the problem....not directly hopefully =)

and yes, it was working perfectly fine before. I think since my phone is working okay for the most part now, I'll leave it as is. Should I just do a DFU restore to 1.1.4 and then use iplus?? if rogers and getting a new sim card do not help?
