    Default Virginized 1.0.2 phone automatically unlocked for 1.1.1 and 1.0.2?!

    I followed the instructions for Windows (on a MBP, though everything worked fine) how to virginize your phone and repair the possible damage made to the SECZONE and NVRAM. To my surprise the phone was unlocked after the virginization with firmware 1.0.2, and when I upgraded to 1.1.1 and jailbroke + activated it, it was already unlocked and working.

    How is that possible? Were the files I used pre-patched or something?

    which guide did you use sounds like a IPSF unlock this will not virginize

    I've never bought IPSF, only used free unlocks...

    Maybe it's because IPSF is involved in this method of "virginizing"?

    the last step of this method unlocks your 4.0 baseband with anysim 1.1
    thats why it was unlocked and stayed unlocked it is expected
